Setting up events (event types)


Specify when you're available for each type of event

To determine when you’re available, we consider:

  • the working hours you specify when you set up your account and

  • events marked as busy on any calendars you connect to Calendly.

To fine-tune your availability for each event type:

  • specify when you’re available or unavailable—on a recurring basis, for specific dates, or just one type of event

  • specify if events can start only at certain times (such as every 30 minutes)

  • limit the number of events held daily by type

  • prevent invitees from booking last minute

  • reserve extra time (buffers) before or after an event so you can prepare or wrap up

Limit what invitees can see and choose

  • If you offer multiple types of events and want to make sure invitees can only select a certain type, send invitees a link to an event-specific scheduling page

  • Create a secret event (that doesn't display on your scheduling site's landing page)

  • Share a single-use link that can be only used once (we deactivate the link once someone uses it to book an event with you)

Save time, set up a one-time event

If you use Calendly for Google Chrome or Calendly’s mobile app and need to quickly share a link but don't have an appropriate event type already set up, just set up a quick event and select times you’re available, then email or text those times to your guest.
